Top 5 Valentine’s Spots in Boston

1. Trapology

Hands down our favorite date night spot – let alone escape room – in all of Boston. And trust me, Geneo and I have vetted out every single one of them. The staff at Trapology is so professional, and their escape rooms literally look like scenes right out of a movie. At just $32 a ticket, Trapology makes for a very unique and immersive Valentine’s date night.

Pro Tip: As silly as it sounds, being in an escape room with your significant other can get real competitive real quick! Before you ruin your Valentine’s Day vibes, be prepared to put your communication skills to the test – remind each other that IT’S JUST A GAME. If you make it through the game without hating each other, then you’ve got something good (trust me!)

2. Improv Asylum

If your date is of the raunchier variety, then this is the spot. Located in the iconic Italian North End of Boston, Improv Asylum brings together the best comedians in New England to ensure a very rowdy date night for just $30 a pop. Caution: There is absolutely no holding back at Improv Asylum, so this is probably not the place for a first date!

3. Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

If you’re looking for a more romantic Valentine’s date, then the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is your place. Curated in the late 19th century by a very wealthy (and fashionable) socialite, the museum is unlike any other. There are no boring audio tapes or tours – Isabella intended visitors to explore the museum freely, interpreting each piece from their own perspective. The museum is also home to the very swanky Cafe G, where I highly recommend getting some bubbly before exploring Fenway Court. Iconic for its infamous art heist as much as its architecture and ever-changing garden, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum makes for a very intriguing Valentine’s date. Tickets are $15 (unless your name is Isabella).

4. Lolita’s

Seriously, the sexiest restaurant in all of Boston. Located in the heart of Back Bay, this gothic-style, Mexican-influenced hot spot will quickly have you addicted. I will never regret the amount of queso I’ve consumed there or my over-indulgence in their frozen strawberry margaritas (sugar, no salt) – my only regret is that I didn’t know about this place sooner! I’m seriously craving their street corn and Los Tres guacamole as I’m typing. But it’s not just the to-die-for food and drinks that make this place a Valentine’s hit – it’s the music, the architecture, the ambiance. All of which make reservations really tricky. Not pictured: Signature post-meal green apple cotton candy. Trust me, it’s worth every calorie.

5. Row 34

My new Seaport fave. The vibe is industrial chic and their now famous seafood is the most delicious in all of Boston. Their lobster tacos (with a very unique mango salsa, mmm) are my constant craving. Walking distance from the harbor, Row 34 makes for the perfect day date.
